PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL REPRESENTATIVE (FOR POOLING ONLY)
Job Purpose:
To call on customers to promote and sell in order to achieve the target of the line, increase sales of existing products and expand the market for new products.
Major Accountabilities:
- To make territory sales plan by products and by customers in accordance with assigned sales target. To report the result and corrective action on a monthly basis.
- To achieve sales target both in products and number of customers as per monthly and quarterly plan and increase sales of existing customers.
- To make itineraries and daily activities report of what has been done and how much sales achieved on that day.
- To report on competitors activities and market situation.
- To expand and penetrate the market with both new and existing products.
- To have good product knowledge and properly use of promotional materials as has been trained or informed.
- To use all promotional materials i.e. samples, gimmicks in an appropriate and honest way.
- To inform superior of customers’ requests or result of those requests or complaints and inform customers on result of those requests or complaints.
- To perform any additional tasks as requested.
- To keep good relation with the personnel of principal, the customers, and colleagues.
- To submit all required reports on time or ahead.
- To review regularly the customer’s master list, to delete unproductive customers and to add new customers.
Expected Performance Outcomes:
- Sales achievement by principal and by key product
- Properly use all promotional materials
- Market and competitor information
- Effective communication and oral communication with customers
- Report the monthly field performance to DSM within the first day of month end meeting
- Increasing number of new customers and retain existing customers
- Good Product Knowledge and selling skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy/Medical Science/Nutrition/Nurse Science
- Self-motivated/energetic with good interpersonal skills
- 1-2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical business will be an advantage
